All Saints, Postwick

 All Saints, Postwick

All Saints’ stands on a hill on the site of an earlier building mentioned in the doomsday book, the tower creating quite a landmark.  Built in the fourteenth century the church is a focal point in the village and can be seen clearly as one approaches Postwick.  The tower contains three bells; one unmarked, one marked as made in London in 1851; the third bell was bought in 1815 and used to be the treble bell at St Paul’s church in Norwich.  The clock was installed by the Rev. William Vincent in 1872, but is over 300 years old.  Sadly it has not worked for some years.
